My friend, Morielle, just started her own business making her trademark version of the classic Mei Tai carrier. Hers are called, “Button Tais”, enabling one to nurse while babywearing! She only has a few up so far on her Etsy shop, but they are super super cute.
Pass this along to any new/old mothers you know. I have a Mei Tai, handed down to me from a dear friend at church, and I LOVE it. By far, out of the 4 carriers I’ve tried (Moby, Ergo, Sling, being the other 3) it is by far my favorite. G visibly relaxes when I use it, probably because we both are just so comfortable! And it’s way easier to use than any of the others– small enough to fit in my diaper bag, quick enough to put on in the security line at the airport (done it!), light enough to use in the hot days of summer. It provides the same amount of back support as my Ergo, but the straps don’t fall of my shoulders. I use it in the backpack carry, the front carry (G facing both ways), and the side carry! So versatile.
Anyways, if you are at ALL into babywearing, check out her new store! I may have to buy a second one from her, just so I can have one for the car/on the go, one for home (my fav way to get chores done around the house!). These are great baby shower gifts.
Also, while we’re on the topic, super kuddos to Morielle! What an industrious way to make money while being a a stay-at-home mom of 2 babies under the age of 2?
