Pinterest

Okay, okay, I give in….

I’ve been using this awesome site called Pinterest since March. Ever wondered where I get all of my awesome design and decor pics?

Why did I wait so long to spread the good cheer? Seriously, what kind of a friend am I? I don’t know what made me so mum about it. Maybe I felt like a magician, unwilling to reveal the secret behind the trick.

Recently, I’ve been seeing blogger friends of mine post about this site and all the good cheer it has to offer. I’ll admit– I started feeling pretty guilty for keeping this site a secret for so many months….

Besides tons of random inspiration photos and ideas, it’s also a way to tag and save anything you run across that you want to remember and retrieve at a later date. Found a cool recipe on some website? Cool. Pin it to your personal “Recipes” board. Found a neat craft or project? Pin it. See something on a website that you want to save $ for? Pin it. Found a book you want to buy someday? Pin it. It’s so simple. It provides you a reminder photo, plus a link to wherever you originally found it. You can even type in a personal description, reminding your future self of what you originally found so fascinating about it.

Also, you can synch it with Facebook, so that you can peek in at what all of your friends are “pinning”! Since I’m friends with a lot of creative crafty moms, I learn about a lot of neat stuff.

Still not convinced?

Here are some crafts I found today on Pinterest.

A DIY tutorial for the teepee I want to make for G's playroom someday.

Or maybe just some house decor inspiration?

Whatever floats your boat, you’re sure to find it on Pinterest.

If you feel like following what I “pin”, here ya go!

  1. That totally explains everything! Hehe. I tried to get a Pinterest account in the past, but it didn’t work. I just tried again and I’m on the list now. πŸ™‚
